Response to Intervention
Students that are having difficulty in the classroom are not necessarily suffering from a specific learning disability. Response to Intervention is a process that allows teachers and staff to try academic and/or behavioral interventions in the classroom before referring them for special services. There are many basic interventions that may be used in the classroom. Reinventing the wheel is not necessary. Check out some of the links on this page for ideas. Response to Intervention forms we will be using at Richard Edwards Elementary are linked below for you to print or download. If you have any suggestions, comments, or questions, please email me at jcmcginnis1@cps.edu.
Thank you,
